A la Renaissance, leur descendant, Antoine
de Lomagne, Seigneur de Terrides, se distingue en Italie avec le Chevalier
Bayard. Il est nommé Gouverneur du Piémont et, à Pigneron, il fait construire
la forteresse qui servira de prison au Masque de Fer. Reconnaissant de
tous ses services, le Roi François Ier se rend à Terrides le 20 septembre
1540 et lui fait don de nouveaux territoires. Les guerres de religion
trouvent quatre frères au Château. Le dernier, Géraud, se convertit aux
protestantisme et chasse ses frères restés catholiques.
At the Renaissance, one
of heirs is Antoine de Lomagne, Lord of Terrides, who is a friend of famous
knight Bayard. He becomes Governor of the Piémont in Italy, and in the city
of Pignol builds a castle in which the iron mask is prisoner. King François
Ier goes to Terrides in Septembre 1540 and gives new territories as a reward
for the war in Italy. During the french civil war between catholics and protestants,
four brothers live in the castle. The youngest becomes a protestant and expells
his brothers from the castle.
